Marie-Christine gained extensive expertise in various legal matters with a focus on corporate and real estate transactions, commercial contracts, fair trade practices, labeling and food law, data privacy and intellectual property law, labor law, and competition law.
She started her career as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar in an international law firm. She also worked as a legal manager and was amongst others in charge of the legal department of Unilever, Lineas, and Alken-Maes in Belgium and in Luxembourg.
Marie-Christine holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Antwerp since 1997 and subsequently obtained a specialized degree in business law (LL.M) from the same university.
She dealt with restructurings, private equity transactions, change management, complexity and overhead reduction projects (e.g. CRM projects and insurance portfolio optimization), and legal compliance projects (e.g. GDPR compliance).
She joined Ethikos as a knowledge manager in 2020.
Having worked in different sectors in different European countries makes her business aware, result-oriented, and pragmatic. She is flexible and efficient and she adapts easily since she understands her clients’ and business partners’ needs. She has an entrepreneurial mindset and is a self-starter with sound initiatives.
